Mike's Seafood and Steakhouse: Exceptional Dining Experience in Jennings, LA

I do not give 5 stars often or lightly, they EARNED this one!!! Ima be thinking about that steak for a while!! It could not have been more perfect, especially with the seafood sauce they gave me on the side with it. (because they were out of the Etouffee) My wife got the gourmet cheeseburger and she said it was really good too! Wait staff was so nice and place was very clean as well!!

Delicious shrimp and crab Gumbo with a bit of a kick, cup of étouffée, and spicy fried shrimp appetizer. Sunday filled with local patrons

Had the ribeye and a cup of crawfish etouffee... both were delicious! The service was excellent! Will visit again!

Nice, clean, family home atmosphere. Music was great, volume was perfect to hold a conversation across the table. Drinks were good, beer is cold. Fantastic menu selection of food annd sides- the steak was cooked to perfection- exactly how it was ordered. Looking forward to the Mardi Gras celebration soon.

If you're ever going through Jennings, you should try Mike's seafood restaurant. I had the stuffed catfish and my wife had the gourmet burger. Both were amazing! The burger's bun is a jalapeño sour dough bun with a hint of sweetness. Excellent choice. Also the onion rings and mushrooms come in huge portions as Appetizers. Great place!

Absolutely amazing food. Potato salad and Crab augratin were incredible! All the food was fantastic and the service was above average, the staff were all very sweet and attentive. I will be bringing my Arizona family back here to show them authentic southern food!

As out-of-towners from Dallas, we wanted to find someplace to eat dinner that wasn't something we could find at home. After a quick online search, we found Mike's. The reviews were a mixed bag, with 5 stars from many and one of two from others. Despite the uncertainty, we decided to give Mike's a try. Best. Decision. Ever. We were seated within a couple of minutes of coming through the door, and were greeted by the cheerful and fun Cara. She was energetic and engaging and fun to chat with. I've got some food sensitivities, and Cara went above and beyond to make sure what I was ordering was safe for me. I was disappointed the crab cakes had peppers in them (despite my love for them, they do NOT love me back ), so I ordered the sautéed shrimp in wine and butter sauce --- Cara was attentive to make sure they omitted pepper and onions, since those are tough for me. It was DELISH. Hubs had the grilled salmon with steamed veggies, which he enjoyed very much. The hush puppies were phenomenal, too. Cara said the steaks Mike serves are the best ever. If we were here for more than one day, we'd be back to try them. The food was excellent, but even that didn't compare to the excellent service we got from Cara. Whatever Mike's is paying her, it's not enough. She was pleasant from beginning to end, and if we're ever in Jennings again, we'll be back and will be asking for section! She even told us about upcoming changes to the restaurant, which will be good to know if my husband ever has business in Jennings again. The food was fantastic, the value superb, and there aren't words for the service we got from Cara (and being I'm a writer by trade, that doesn't happen often! ). If you're ever in Jennings, don't miss this stop! And definitely ask for Cara --- you won't regret it!

Pretty good. Got the gourmet burger and onion rings. Very tasty. Service was great and restaurant was super clean with a nice atmosphere.
